El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele took to Twitter to declare that the Bitcoin protocol was the antithesis to FTX, and to compare FTX with a Ponzi scheme. Bukele, a passionate supporter and believer of Bitcoin, claimed that the most popular cryptocurrency was created to stop Ponzi schemes and bank runs.
