Crypto Transactions Above EUR1,000 Face Due Diligence Enquiries in The EU

 

The European Union’s member states have imposed a new limit on cash purchases as well as tightened controls on cryptocurrency transactions. The EU imposed a EUR10,000 ($10557) restriction on cash transfers, and increased control over crypto transactions worth more that 1,000 euros ($1,055). To make it more difficult for hackers to use crypto transactions worth more than 1,000 euros ($1,055), the European Union adopted new guidelines.
